  • Additionally, you'll ensure your team maintains critical certifications and stays current with evolving industry standards, including EMT, HazMat, NIMS, and more-fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.

Safety and Health Compliance:

  • Be the driving force behind a robust and proactive safety culture. You'll oversee a wide range of compliance activities-from inspections and drills to permitting and system testing-ensuring the university meets and exceeds all fire and life safety requirements.
  • Your expertise will guide the review of construction and renovation projects, ensuring alignment with state and national codes, including NFPA standards and North Carolina building and fire codes. You'll collaborate closely with campus partners to support unique projects, specialized installations, and large-scale events.
  • Whether supporting laboratory modifications, coordinating event safety for major concerts, or ensuring proper system functionality in new construction, your work will directly contribute to a safe and compliant campus environment.
