Data Science Co-Op - Fall 2025

The Role:
Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a/an Data Science Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

In this role in the Data and Analytics Center of Excellence, you will help to identify and drive business value in a cloud data platform for complicated and multi-functional project-based initiatives. These will include elements of data science, data architecture, and potentially machine learning or artificial intelligence. Your insights will help to deliver solutions to complicated but narrowly defined business challenges across many functions.

What You'll Do:
* Work with business and IT stakeholders to define clear and achievable requirements
* Map out and understand a complicated data landscape involving many different siloed applications
* Create data models and flows to address identified challenges
* Apply data science and ML/AI techniques where applicable to surface actionable insights
* Work in a cloud-based data lake environment to design scalable and repeatable functions

What We Seek:
* Working knowledge of SQL, Python, R or similar desired
* Ability to clearly communicate and drive action with data

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
* Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management
* Graduating in December 2025 or in 2026 preferred

Eligibility:
* Must be a currently enrolled student
* Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in July through December
* Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program

* Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
