XLA is looking for an Administrative Financial Analyst to support a federal agency in Arlington, VA (metro accessible).




  • Analyzing and conducting research on the availability of funds for all allocations located within DEA's internal financial
    management system where funds are allocated, obligated and expended.
    Leveraged analytical skills for complex financial data interpretation which resulted in improved decision-making processes
  • Applied Accounting Principles to manage financial reporting and analysis for the team, ensuring
    accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Managed professional development programs to improve team performance and financial analysis skills
  • Overseeing and managing DEA's certification of obligations process through verification of invoices
    and IPACs.
  • Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of administrative processes and operations in meeting the
    established goals and objectives of designated office component through team administration.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training new hires, creation of SOPs and training plans.
  • Managed a team of financial analysts, utilizing extensive Finance knowledge to develop strategic
    plans and achieve departmental goals
  • Provided direct line communications across multiple agencies and departments.
  • Usage of multiple systems including but not limited to, UFMS, SharePoint, Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc) .
  • Utilized time management and technical workflow to ensure timely completion of job functions.
  • Worked on additional projects to increase team efficiency including creation of SOPs and data forms.
  • Used SharePoint to aggregate data for analysis.
