The primary objective of this candidate is to identify and analyze the raw material specifications, sizes, and Estimated Annual Usage (EAU) for complex machine parts, specifically focusing on components such as pistons, cylinders, and manifolds. This analysis will support our forging suppliers and machine shops to ensure optimal material selection and supply chain efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Raw Material Specification Identification:
    • Research and compile specifications for raw materials used in the production of pistons, cylinders, and manifolds.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand material requirements based on design and performance criteria.
  2. Size and Dimensional Analysis:
    • Analyze the dimensional requirements of complex machine parts to determine appropriate raw material sizes.
    • Create detailed documentation outlining the size specifications for each component.
  3. Estimated Annual Usage (EAU) Calculation:
    • Work with suppliers and supply chain to gather data on production volumes and forecasts.
    • Calculate the EAU for each component to assist in material procurement planning.
  4. Supplier Collaboration:
    • Engage with forging suppliers to understand their capabilities and material offerings.
    • Assess supplier material quality and compliance with specifications.
  5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to present findings on raw material specifications, sizes, and EAU.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  6. Impact Assessment:
    • Evaluate the impact of material specifications on the production of pistons, cylinders, and manifolds.
    • Identify potential risks and opportunities related to material sourcing and supply chain efficiency.
  7. Deliverables:
  • Comprehensive report detailing raw material specifications, sizes, and EAU for pistons, cylinders, and manifolds.
  • Visual presentations of data analysis findings for stakeholder review.
  • Recommendations for optimizing material selection and supplier engagement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Computer Science, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
