Senior Technical Project Manager (Onsite)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Technical Project Manager with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Location: North Carolina, Raleigh

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

• Lead Agile teams with over 13 years of experience in technical project management roles.
• Facilitate effective communication across development, quality, and product teams.
• Understand, explain, and resolve technical impediments.
• Manage the release of product features and coordinate with third party vendors for effective rollout plans.
• Conduct and participate in Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Serve as a mentor to the Scrum Team, promoting Agile values and principles.
• Identify and remove obstacles that may hinder the team's progress.
• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a clear understanding of the product backlog and priorities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team reflection and feedback.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Monitor team performance metrics and drive improvements in productivity and quality.
• Promote a collaborative team environment and ensure adherence to Scrum processes.
• Support and engage in Agile training sessions and workshops as needed.

• Proven experience as a technical project manager or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud technologies, and Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong release management skills, including scheduling, communicating, and orchestrating releases.
• Ability to work across internal and external teams and facilitate progress across the product release cycle.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA and Rally is preferred.
