As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for modifying and delivering pre-developed training courses in high voltage switching, electrical safety, and general safety topics that comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and Metropolitan policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for delivering the related training to MWD staff via in person, webinar, or hybrid platforms as well as perform hands on practical assessments (electrical). Additionally, you will perform equipment-related and hands-on practical assessments associated with assigned training deliveries and assist the instructor for the Electrical Apprenticeship Program. Schedule: 4/10 - (Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm) This job announcement has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this classification / job. To view the full job description click here: Training Specialist (C) EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Subject matter area is defined as: experience presenting training within the electrical field; and/or experience as a journey level electrician responsible for high voltage switching and providing on-the-job-training to electrical apprentices. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
