PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The IT Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive end-to-end IT solutions that align with business objectives, enhance business performance, and drive operational excellence. Position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of enterprise-level IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to design innovative solutions that integrate various technologies. They bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring that IT systems support current and future business objectives. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the VP of Information Technology and does not supervise staff. The position collaborates with various stakeholders, including C-level executives, development teams, clients, project managers, business analysts, and IT teams, to ensure that technological solutions align with business goals and are effectively implemented. These relationships are essential for translating business requirements into technical specifications, guiding development, and ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability of the solutions. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Data processing methods and procedures, and computer software systems.
- Systems design and development process, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation and operational management.
- Integration tools and technologies
- Business process analysis and redesign.
- Understanding of system architecture, application architecture, and network architecture.
- process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and process automation tools
- Change management experience on projects of significant scope.
- Understanding of business software and practices.
- Contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, computer science, information technology or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in process architecture, solution design, or a related role. preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with various IT frameworks
- Proven experience in leading process improvement initiatives, designing and implementing large-scale technology solutions is a plus.
- Experience working with ERP systems, BI and other business process management tools are a plus.
- Experience leading process redesign workshops and educating business users responsible for managing and operating business processes is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions is a plus.
