Reach Forklift Operator

Staffmark is currently seeking a Reach Forklift Operator to join our team in Richmond, VA. If you have forklift experience and are committed to safety and detail, this is a great opportunity to advance your career!

Pay: $18/hour

Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 2:00 PM until the job is done

As a Reach Forklift Operator, you'll be responsible for selecting customer orders by picking food and non-food products from multi-level racks in the warehouse and placing them on pallets. You will then transport completed orders to the loading dock staging area using an electric pallet jack/forklift. Your role will include ensuring that all safety regulations are followed and quality standards are met while maintaining efficiency throughout the process. You may also be required to work in cooler and freezer environments.

Job Duties:

• Follow all safety policies and procedures per company guidelines
• Conduct safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensure safety devices are functioning
• Prepare work area and gather necessary supplies
• Operate pallet jack/forklift to locate and pick products based on order sheets
• Place stock items on pallets as required and transport completed orders to the shipping dock
• Perform vehicle inspections and recharging of batteries as needed
• Complete necessary paperwork and secure equipment at the end of the shift
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet company and team goals

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience as an Order Selector operating an electric pallet jack and forklift (at least 6 months of Reach Forklift experience)
• Ability to perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including operating equipment in cooler and freezer environments
