Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering & Sales - Nuclear, The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position is a unique opportunity for a person who wants to invest and grow in a highly growth-oriented organization and in a very stimulating environment where the agility of a small enterprise coexists with resources of a large organization.

The company, a manufacturer of specialized electrical wires and cables with strong a strong North American presence, is looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for its nuclear wire and cable portfolio. The (RSM) will be responsible for ensuring profitable growth in sales in throughout North America

Essential Duties:

  • Develops strategies and tactics for existing key domestic nuclear utilities to maintain our position, address emergent needs and maximize opportunities by means of technical support, product innovation and customized service support.
  • Develop and achieve sales and profit objectives for assigned legacy plant base.
  • Favorably position RSCC Nuclear with assigned reactor manufacturers to attain a "Supplier of Choice" status. Work "Bottom Up" selling through their engineering and supply chain management while gaining access to the upper level of management through "Top Down" selling. Align to understand and where possible take advantage of their strategic direction.
  • Work with key A&E firms to strengthen position and to establish us as the Technology Leader. Develop specific plans to expose competition's weaknesses while highlighting the "Value Proposition" of RSCC Nuclear.
  • Support our market position through the involvement in industry meeting, conferences and standards groups.
  • Assess current local markets and modify RSCC's representation where necessary. Leverage existing relationship (WEC, Tyco, Scientech, AREVA, etc.) where possible.
  • Contribute to the overall marketing strategy that integrates all strengths with the objective of positioning RSCC Nuclear as the "Supplier of Choice" in market.
  • Develop and maintain a network of manufacturer representatives to cover the regions where needed.
  • Guide and monitor manufacturer representatives' sales activities to ensure they are properly aligned with meeting Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure's overall Nuclear strategic objectives
  • Support Strategic Market Director - Nuclear

These are the general duties required to fulfill the Regional Sales Manager's job description, not a detailed description of all work required. New duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the changing demands of the business.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct sales and channel sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Technical background (engineering degree, technical degree, or relevant experience)

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • Ready to travel (50% of the time) throughout North America with Overseas travel as needed.
  • Dynamic, passionate and performance driven.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly motivated and well organized to drive growth and new opportunities.
  • Relevant experience in the nuclear industry is preferred

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
  • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
