As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern, you will assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis of financial performance. This role provides hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, market and economic trend research, and variance analysis. You will work closely with senior finance team members, gaining valuable insight into corporate financial planning and decision-making processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting Support: Maintain, update, and analyze budget activity; prepare and present variance analyses.

  • Forecasting Support: Assist with the forecasting process and evaluate company performance.

  • Financial Models: Support the development and enhancement of financial models to aid decision-making.

  • Variance Analysis: Review and analyze monthly and quarterly results, comparing actuals to budget and forecast.

  • Report Preparation: Assist in creating financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, data collection, and analysis processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Must be able to work onsite at our Oak Brook, IL office (15 miles west of Chicago) at least three days per week.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables).

  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Interest in financial modeling, long-range planning, and developing business-driving metrics.

The pay rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / per hour; hourly pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
