Full-time 1st Shift: Mon. - Fri. 6am - 3:30pm, overtime as required, home daily

SUMMARY The Driver is responsible for driving company trucks and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This person will deliver and pick up finished aluminum materials and products while providing excellent customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- CDL-B: Drive commercial motor vehicles in excess of 26,001lbs
- CDL-A: Drive truck with capacities greater than 3 tons with flatbed trailers.
- Understand and ensure consistent compliance with all federal, state and local laws / regulations, and company policies / procedures regarding the FMCSA.
- Perform upkeep on equipment.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations
- Obtain signatures for delivered goods
- Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
- Consistently provides prompt and courteous service to customers.
- Communicate to customers and coworkers in a clear and professional manner.
- Secure cargo for transport, using straps, blocks, chain, binders, or tarps and protect materials from weather, as needed.
- Perform daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and reports any safety issues immediately.
- Maintain company equipment inside/out in order to ensure both cleanliness and safety.
- Must have effective communication skills in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to interact in person with coworkers and the public.
- Operate forklift to move materials
- Move raw material into inventory once receiving is complete.
- Consolidate material in pan, rack, and arm locations to make space available for new inventory.
- Assist receiving with unloading incoming raw material.
- Return and restock material to inventory.
- Support the cleaning duties to ensure a clean facility
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to handle high stress situations.
- Must be efficient with all electronic devices ie; cell phones, tablets, computers, etc.

Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1-3 years of verifiable related driving experience
- CDLlicense with an acceptable driving record and a valid medical card.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently lift, move, or position materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Use limbs to operate controls, levers, and gears, such as shifting gears, to drive, position, load, and unload the truck.
- Exposure to outdoor climate
