At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. As a Mechanical Engineer on our team, under general supervision, you will apply an extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in assignments and related work, but are not limited to the following areas:

* Evaluate facility and equipment performance, troubleshooting operational anomalies, and assessing plant conditions and events.

* Ensure engineered systems incorporate appropriate controls and systems for safe and compliant operation.

* Provide timely technical support for operations, emergency preparedness, readiness review, and technical response team.

* Qualify and perform as a Design Authority for assigned PUREX, REDOX, B-Plant, U-Plant, 400 area, 100K, and B Reactor Mechanical systems.

* Provide the facilities with engineering support to maintain and upgrade plant support equipment.

* Perform system walk-downs, document deficiencies, prepare technical resolutions and drive repairs.

* Ensure regulatory, code and safety basis compliance.

* Prepare and maintain operating and maintenance procedures and data sheets.

* Prepare design changes for system improvements.

* Procure replacement and spare parts within the quality program.

* Assist in resolution of field installation issues, provide input to construction field changes and support during Construction Acceptance Test (CAT) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).


Basic Qualifications


* Early Career Level Grade 14: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.

* Early Career Level Grade 15: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline with 1 or more years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Experience in facility mechanical systems including HVAC systems, piping, compressed air, fire systems, and AG-1 requirements.

* Experience in Nuclear NQA-1 quality requirements (QL2 Procurements).

* Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills.

* Experience using: DMCS, PPS, & JCS software.

* Basic drafting experience in AutoCAD in order to produce drawing markups.

* Prior Design Authority experience.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Early Career Level Grade 14: $72,925 - $91,975.

* Early Career Level Grade 15: $80,225 - $101,175.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
