RN Specialized - Cardiology - AMP La Jolla

This is a benefited, full time position generally working 10-hr shifts on M/T/Th/F. No weekends or holidays. Located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion (AMP) in La Jolla. This position is primarily administrative with very little direct face-to-face patient care.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate compassionate care during patient assessments and care tasks, including medication administration as appropriate, all completed over the phone (phone triaging and education).
• Work the inbaskets/messages for the entire shift
• Learn about cardiac devices, tilt tables, triaging, and read device alerts.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provide patient care including:
  
  
  
  • compliance with patient assessments and care tasks
  • triaging
  • completion of clinical procedures/Tilt table testing
  • emergency protocols and medication administration
  
  
  
  
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Current California RN License
• BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association
• Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program

Preferred Experience:

• Cardiology experience
