ABOUT THIS ROLE St. Michael's is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your prior experience with quality assurance principles, methods, and tools. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will both work as a contributing member to a team of Contract and Acquisition Specialists. LOCATION Fort Belvoir, VA WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., quality assurance, engineering, business administration)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- SOF experience and/or DCMA experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of systems such as WAWF, JAM, SPM, EDA, CPARS preferred
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and tools (e.g., Performance Work Statements, Performance Requirements Summaries, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Monthly Status Reports, Non-Conformance Reports, Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System) Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations.
- Duties include analyzing and evaluating processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Identify and document non-conformities and develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
- Identify and assess potential risks to quality and develop mitigation strategies to minimize or eliminate risks.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to management based on data analysis.
- Evaluate and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that personnel (Contracting Officer Representatives) understand quality policies, procedures, and standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and participation in quality initiatives.
- Communicate quality-related information to stakeholders, including management, customers, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of quality assurance activities, including training, audits, inspections, monthly status reports and Contract Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) evaluations.
