Are you skilled in ensuring quality and have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities? Staffmark is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our client in East Granby, CT. In this role, you'll be responsible for various tasks related to quality assurance, such as testing products, inspecting them for issues, analyzing results, training others, and keeping records. Pay: $20-$23 per hour (Based on experience)

1st Shift Hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM or 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday

Requirements:



  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field coupled with 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Knowledge of wire and cable manufacturing processes/operations and inspections/tests.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting wire and cable specifications.
  • Strong communication, analytical, computer, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 20 pounds.



Essential Functions:



  • Qualification testing of incoming materials, as well as wire and cable, by industry/internal procedures.
  • Set up test procedures and performed a wide variety of quality control inspections/tests involving specialized knowledge of test equipment and the effects of process variables on the product, particularly regarding materials usage.
  • Assist in analyzing customer complaints and returns and development of their satisfactory resolution.
  • Record and maintain accurate data of all testing performance following documented procedures.
  • Collaborate with all levels of management, including factory supervisors, machine operators, development engineers, process engineers, and technicians.
