THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Manager of Sales Enablement, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end development, execution, and continuous improvement of our Sales Play Program. This cross-functional leadership role will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other departments to ensure that our sales teams have the tools, content, training, and resources they need to successfully execute sales plays and drive results.

You will be instrumental in managing the entire lifecycle of sales plays-from ideation to execution, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with the broader go-to-market strategy. This role, which sits in Sales Enablement, requires a strong ability to manage multiple initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders, and continuously optimize sales plays to ensure they are impactful and aligned with business objectives.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Sales Play Development and Execution:
    Lead the creation, refinement, and rollout of Sales Plays to drive consistent performance across the sales organization to drive pipeline growth and revenue. Ensure plays are aligned with product offerings, market conditions, customer needs, and sales leadership priority.
  • Strategic Insight
    Critical evaluation of messaging, positioning and sales play narrative to ensure it is compelling and relevant to the target audience. Challenge conventional thinking with curiosity, data-driven insights, and a solutions-first mindset to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Alignment:
    Partner with Sales, Product Enablement, Product Marketing, Professional Services, and other key stakeholders to ensure that Sales Plays are aligned with company and business unit strategy and provide actionable insights and resources for the sales team. Lead the cross-functional teams to identify and build the resources needed for the sales activation kit. Post to content management system(s) for easy access to materials.
  • Performance Tracking and Optimization:
    Monitor and analyze the performance of Sales Plays to identify areas for improvement. Cultivate a data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools. Leverage feedback and data to optimize play effectiveness and ensure continued success. Regularly report Sales Play performance to business unit leadership and executives. Identify what's working, what's not and recommend course corrections as needed.
  • Sales Play Governance:
    Establish and maintain a consistent process across all business units and uphold best practices for creating, managing, and retiring sales plays. Ensure that all sales plays are consistently documented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Monitor KPIs and evolving sales needs to proactively identify new opportunities for sales plays and program improvements. Collaborate with leadership and enablement teams to continuously refine and enhance our approach.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Sales, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, or similar roles, with at least 2 years managing complex sales programs or initiatives. Prior experience managing or developing sales playbooks is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations. Strong communication skills to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with sales performance metrics and KPIs, and the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
  • A deep understanding of sales methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with sales enablement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ShowPad, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams and individuals, with a passion for developing talent and driving sales team success.
