About This Role This global leadership role is responsible for the continuous improvement of learning and development programs, impacting the customer training experience. Key elements include:
- Innovating adult learning and development (L&D) for business aviation.
- Managing contractual L&D obligations (OE, OEM, clean room).
- Optimizing processes and resources.
- Recommending and managing L&D tools and systems.
- Continuously improving courseware and curriculum to enhance CAE's business aviation customer experience
Critical Responsibilities:
- Lead the Team: Manage a team to ensure contractual and business priorities, working cross-collaboratively with other departments and teams.
- Continually Innovate: Refine and reduce the time to develop courseware using tools, L&D methods, and process enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and improve training programs based on feedback and performance data.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to identify training needs and develop programs that support organizational goals.
- Return on Investment (ROI): Calculate the financial return on investment in training programs by comparing costs with financial benefits gained from improved customer experience and employee performance.
Qualifications and Education:
- Highly desirable, (not required) to hold or have held an ICAO ATPL certificate issued in accordance with Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention and 2;
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications;
- Formal L&D experience practical and theoretical in a corporate environment;
- Highly desirable to have familiarity within aviation, particularly business aviation to compliment change management activities;
- Preferred experience in multiple Civil aviation disciplines (Civil) and recent operational experience desired;
- Effective communicator and highly proficient with MS Office suite and modern business-enabling tools and L&D tools;
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence in L&D systems (albeit a new skill);
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Effective communicator and highly proficient with MS Office suite and modern business-enabling tools;
- Experience as a People Manager, leading a global and diverse Team managing multiple projects simultaneously;
- Maintain corporate governance and regional communication to the satisfaction of CAE internal stakeholders;
- Support strategic sales initiatives being Customer-facing representing the Company in a positive regard;
