Reports To: Vice President, Insights and Strategy

Position Summary

Director, Workplace Strategy will lead key strategy and engagement sessions with target accounts. Promote Teknion point of view on workplace to clients, designers and industry organizations. Works closely with VP, Insights to identify emerging trends in workforce, workplace and planning based on client conversations. Responsible for co-developing, training and updating suite of strategy services.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Strategize and participate in key customer planning and sales pursuits.

* Promote understanding of workplace strategy to internal and external stakeholders.

* Directly lead workplace strategy engagements with key customers on topics including visioning, co- design, change planning; both collect industry insights to share with internal team and share insights with customers.

* Listen and amplify actionable insights to inform planning and product strategy.

* Support the regional sales teams in co-leading strategy and client engagements.

* Identify and develop workplace proficiency both inside and outside the company to broaden leverage and scope.

* Maintain subject expertise on workplace issues.

* Develop and maintain relationships with research and consultant partners and initiatives.

* Create and deliver presentations to industry conferences to promote Teknion brand and point of view.

* Provide vision and creative direction, plus deep understanding of customer issues.

Experience, Skill and Educational Requirements

* At least 10 yrs experience in corporate workplace strategy or research strongly preferred.

* Ability to manage multiple projects across various industries and geographies

* Strong written and verbal communicator

* Comfortable leading c-suite conversations around business drivers and workforce expectations

* Experience conducting in depth workplace observational studies

* Track record for translating client data into actionable insights.

* Knowledge of industry and key stakeholders

* Strong network ties with industry organizations CoreNet, IFMA, ULI)

Travel: Ability and willingness to travel 50% across North American markets.

Must reside within close proximity to a major airport with convenient access to direct flights across North America.
