Position Summary

  • Lead and prioritize tasks to ensure that tests, protocols, methods, and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner providing reliable results. Thus, ensuring timely project delivery of the ICP-OES equipment and methods identified
  • Maintain laboratory procedures, correcting potential problems, to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
  • Ensure that safety and quality standards are followed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Will author protocols, execute protocols, author the reports, author the validated test method, and train the Analysts on the ICP-OES and MS methods implemented according to the project plan.

Hours: 1st shift.

Position Responsibilities

  • Problem solve when working through protocols and validation.
  • Author/review Standard Operating Procedures/Standard Methods.
  • Inform QC management of testing issues (i.e., no tests, unsatisfactory results)
  • Ensure that testing completed is properly documented and follows written methods.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper training of Quality Control technicians.
  • Work with QA to develop specifications.

Education and Experience

B. S. in a science (Preferably chemistry) or 5-10 years' experience in related field.

Technical Skills and Competencies Requirement

  • Understanding of USP compendia and EP compendia requirements to ensure compliance with changing guidelines and standards.
  • Understanding of testing for Elemental impurities and regulatory requirements
  • FDA GMP knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot problems and implement corrective action.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding and experience with ICP-MS equipment
  • Computer literate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external colleagues.
  • Technical expertise/knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, Data Integrity/Data Governance, and KPI's

Physical Position Requirements

  • This is Lincoln, NE based position.
  • This position will require use of SAP zLIMS, Veeva vault and other IT tools, teleconferencing and Zoom tools, as well as SharePoint technologies, to share and manage information with Global QC Network and Quality Organization
  • Requires lifting of 25lbs or more
