The Position 2025 Summer Intern - gRED, Regev Lab

This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.

The Opportunity

Large scale genetic and chemical perturbation datasets are becoming increasingly available. Namely, perturb-seq and chemical screening datasets are expensive to generate which presents a need for computational approaches to reduce the cost burden. The Regev lab has a unique effort for building and evaluating machine learning approaches for inferring the effects of perturbations in unseen cell lines, or in cell lines with more limited data.

Program Highlights

  • Full time for at least first 12 weeks (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June/July (Summer)

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are

Required Education

Must be pursuing a PhD Degree (enrolled student)

Preferred majors

Computational Sciences or Machine learning

Required skills

  • Machine learning background for generative modeling or imputation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with building machine learning in a low data regime.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position in California is $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
