The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness - and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF's largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and inter-professional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and cultural competency for working with varied populations.

The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences School of Social Work is in search of well-qualified candidates for a Graduate Admission Coordinator I position This position will provide support in all duties related to the academic program for the School of Social Work Graduate program/programs, including but not limited to, student records management, registration, academic admissions and orientation for current and potential university students.

Responsibilities:



  • Advise prospective graduate students on admissions requirements, including monitoring and responding to inquiries, processing student applications in Slate, and following up with students who have missing application materials, and updating student

  • Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students from point of inquiry through the admission process.

  • Assist with applicant notification and inquire after decisions have been made.

  • Attend recruitment fairs at the university and college levels.

  • Attend other recruitment events such as attending student organization meetings and individual class meetings.

  • Provide information to prospective and current students and address inquiries about academic/admission requirements.

  • Refer students to other UCF departments as needed.

  • Coordinate and conduct virtual and in-person information sessions for prospective students for the campus-based graduate program and the online graduate program.

  • Assist in coordinating orientations and graduation celebrations for both campus-based and online graduate programs.

  • Provide administrative support to MSW program director.

  • Assist the program director with all administrative/clerical needs, updating program information materials including brochures, handbooks, QR codes, conference materials, and catalog.

  • Assist with preparation of reports including admission and enrollment data and reports for the CSWE Annual Survey.

  • Ensure the MSW website information is current.

  • Record and file program meeting minutes.

  • Assist with program accreditation, maintain and organize academic records.

  • Train new admission staff in their duties.

  • Perform assistance and other duties in support of the School of Social Work programs' admissions.

  • Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:



  • 4+ years experience with relevant experience in higher education.

  • Experience working in a student-facing role.

  • Experience with using SLATE.
