What You'll Do
- Greet visitors, answer plant phone line, and represent the first impression of CMC
- Responsible for day-to-day transactions such as processing employee data changes
- Assist with scheduling full-time interviews and sourcing candidates for hard to fill positions
- Understand and educate employees on CMC benefits, including support of the new hire and annual enrollment process
- Assist with plant wide communication through Microsoft Outlook and formatting Power Point slides
- Assist in planning company events and community involvement opportunities
- Identify and communicate general issues and concerns to the HR Manager and participate in development of the proper response to such issues
- Assist in maintaining compliance with various employment regulations
- Assist with New Hire Benefits Enrollment as needed
- Complete the onboarding and hiring of new employees into CMC's HR database (Employee Central)
- Facilitate the pre-employment process from start to finish, including initiating background checks, drug screens, physicals, and PATs
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
- High integrity and confidentiality required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
- Professional communication skills required, both written and verbal
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Responsive nature with strong sense of urgency to handle matters quickly
- Use independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
Your Education
- Bachelor's degree required
