Training Specialist

Assure all lab Talent are properly trained and that training is thoroughly documented and kept up to date.

Job Responsibilities



  • Create, plan and execute a training program for talent, whether new talent or refresher training.
  • Train/Support Talent and Project Managers,
  • Lead facility trainings to ensure talent are current on SOP's:

    • Position training validations
    • Mentor/Protege Program
    • New Hire training
    • Commonly used equipment/tools training
    • Computer-based training (CBT's)
    • Process, Procedure and Standard Work training


  • Work with Team to troubleshoot project questions and concerns.
  • Work with Team to assure adequately trained resources are available to meet project needs.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in lab practices and project training opportunities.
  • Provide onboard training for new Talent related to general lab safety, general expectations, time reporting, etc.

Competencies



  • Intermediate level understanding of computer navigation, use of email, and internet. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel required.

  • Ability to verbally communicate to groups and individuals, clearly and concisely, as well as in writing.
  • Ability to build strong sustainable business relationships throughout the organization and with key customers.
  • Proven skills in problem solving, ability to cope with detail, multiple simultaneous problems/projects, and day to day operational complexities.
  • Other skills: Prioritization and time management, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.


Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office and production environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
