Drive USfalcon's growth and capture new business opportunities within the defense sector. As the Business Development Director, you will be pivotal in identifying and winning federal contracts, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape strategic campaigns and develop winning proposals while advancing critical missions.

Essential Duties

Business Development Leadership & Strategy



  • Lead the development and execution of business development strategies aligned with USfalcon's overarching goals.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent business development initiatives across the federal market.
  • Drive relationships with DoD customers, focusing on Space Force, Air Force, Army, and Navy, as well as Intelligence Community clients.


Capture Management & Proposal Leadership



  • Oversee the entire capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract award, including qualification, proposal, ENs, ORALs, protests, etc.
  • Guide internal teams in developing compelling, compliant proposals that address customer needs and RFP requirements.
  • Formulate teaming strategies, select partners, and align resources for optimal proposal outcomes.
  • Develop and present detailed capture plans and pricing strategies to the executive team.


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Build and nurture relationships with federal customers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead discussions with customers to shape requirements, gather feedback, and ensure proposals meet mission-critical objectives.
  • Work closely with solution architects and SMEs to craft technical and management solutions that enhance the win probability.


Required Qualifications



  • 5-10 years of experience in business development within the federal government contracting space.
  • An additional 10 years of relevant experience with DoD organizations is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning contracts with DoD, DHS, or Intelligence agencies.
  • Expertise in federal acquisition processes, including GSA MAS, OASIS+, ASTRO, and SeaPort.
  • Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint, Salesforce, or other CRM and opportunity management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level briefings and proposal development.
  • Experience with forming strategic partnerships, negotiating teaming agreements, and developing competitive pricing strategies.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Space Force contracts or relevant space-focused initiatives is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in competitive intelligence and market analysis within the defense industry.


Education & Certification



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Additional 10 years of relevant progressive experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.


Required Clearance



  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.


Travel



  • Frequent travel required as necessary, with a focus on regional coverage in Colorado, California, New Mexico, and Nebraska.
