POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Associate Installer reports to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Located in Pittsburgh, PA
  • Full-Time
  • In Office



The Associate Installation Technician plays a critical role in delivering, assembling, and set in place of commercial kitchen equipment. Set in place includes uncrating of equipment, peeling of protective film, level, and secure equipment where applicable. This position requires someone with mechanical aptitude, construction skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Handling and Unloading:



  • Safely unload trucks and handle products to minimize damage during transport.
  • Move equipment to designated areas for assembly and installation.


Equipment Handling and Assembly:



  • Assemble and set up commercial kitchen equipment according to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Assist with construction tasks such as erecting walk-in coolers/freezers and hanging exhaust hoods.


Tool and Equipment Management:



  • Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers.
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines.


Logistics and Maintenance:



  • Load tools and equipment onto trucks, ensuring proper securing for transport.
  • Conduct daily inspections and cleaning of trucks to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.


Construction Support:

Follow blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate installations

Safety and Organization:



  • Follow all safety guidelines, maintain a clean work area, and keep tools and machines organized.
  • Must successfully pass and maintain a D.O.T. medical exam.
  • Comprehend all Company safety requirements as well as jobsite safety.


Communication and Coordination:



  • Communicate effectively with the Project Manager regarding job progress and any issues that arise.


  • Track expenses incurred during projects and adhere to company procedures


Quality Assurance and Documentation:



  • Inspect installations with contractors and customers to ensure quality and satisfaction.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly using computer tablets.


Documentation and Communication:



  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Submit accurate and timely documentation of work performed.


COMPETENCIES:



  • Must successfully pass and maintain a D.O.T. medical exam.
  • Comprehend all Company safety requirements as well as jobsite safety.
  • Ability to read and understand specs and blueprints.
  • Ability to follow close direction from Project Managers, job Consultants, and job Superintendents.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Some weekends and overtime required.
  • Ability to travel.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in general commercial construction preferred
  • Knowledge of handling and use of all hand tools and power tools.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School preferred.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and basic construction codes.
  • Experience working with mechanical equipment
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Bend or twist body.
  • Use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools. or controls.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Keep or regain their balance.
  • Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
