Overview:

The Electrical Engineer will be part of the new product development engineering team, working on complex semiconductor processing equipment involving ion beam etch, ion beam deposition, and chemical/physical vapor deposition technologies. This role is ideal for a new college graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in electrical design, automation, RF systems, and power electronics.The Electrical Engineer will assist in designing and developing automated electrical systems that ensure proper functionality of semiconductor equipment. They will work closely with senior engineers to analyze customer requirements, develop schematics, and contribute to hardware-software integration.

Responsibilities:



  • Assist and work alongside Sr EE in the design and development of electrical systems for semiconductor processing equipment, including power distribution, control systems, and automation.
  • Work on digital and analog circuit design, cable harness layouts, and signal processing for high-speed electronics.
  • Support electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of RF power delivery, high-voltage supplies, and motion control systems.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical documentation using CAD tools.
  • Participate in the selection of electrical components, including power supplies, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components in semiconductor tools.
  • Support system-level testing, including power-up procedures, signal integrity analysis, and automation debugging.
  • Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigation, and reliability testing to improve product performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
  • Maintain engineering documentation through the ECO process and assist in design reviews.



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:



  • Coursework or hands-on experience in RF systems, high-frequency circuits, or RF power electronics is highly desirable.
  • Prior exposure to semiconductor capital equipment is a plus.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in power electronics, including high-voltage DC power supplies, switching power supplies, and pulse power systems.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity, RF shielding, and PCB layout best practices for high-speed circuits.
  • Proficiency in CAE/CAD tools (AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, RF power meters, or signal generators.
  • Basic experience with MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for data acquisition, automation, and test automation is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to customer sites and/or supplier facilities as needed.



The expected salary range for this position is $67,236.00 - $84,985.60, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
