Description & Requirements
The firm's monitoring function is interested in a manager candidate to help develop and participate in the firm's support of the Assurance, Tax, Consulting, and Quality Management monitoring processes.
This candidate would help with the development, planning, execution, root cause, and remediation activities necessary to drive quality amongst the firm's practice. The candidate will work directly with the National Director of Practice Monitoring, and others within the monitoring function, to execute on the preceding. This role is an opportunity to work directly with personnel, including firm leadership and personnel, across all service lines and offices, and to be a builder for a process that is critical for the firm's success. As much as the monitoring function is a required to ensure and drive quality, this role should carry with it, an interest in helping our teams learn and improve.
How you will contribute:
  • Assist in the development or enhancement of Practice Monitoring efforts in the areas of Internal inspections in Assurance, Tax, and Consulting, Quality Management, and other monitoring
  • Plan and support Practice Monitoring efforts and the teams involved
  • Schedule and attend Practice Monitoring and other A&A PSG regular meetings
  • Work with engagement teams and National Office personnel to determine root cause of any deficiencies and help drive remedial efforts
  • When necessary, develop guidance and other documents to help support the quality of any of the programs overseen by Practice Monitoring
  • Proactively identify and suggest any possible improvements to processes, tools, reporting, etc. that support the firm's monitoring function

The candidate should be able to balance the need to communicate constructive criticisms identified with the support and respect teams deserve to help drive overall improvement and quality.
  • An ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment to reach clear-set goals. The candidate should be able to manage several tasks and across multiple responsibilities and demonstrate a commitment to the quality of any deliverable.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in assurance or serving
  • CPA license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
  • Experience managing multiple complex engagements or tasks

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.
