Responsibilities Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function/occupation and developmental disorders. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of babies and children served. Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, neurodevelopmental outcomes, supports infant/child mental health and immediate environmental well-being of the infant/child. Promotes infant/caregiver/parent self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence. Nurture the infant-family dyad. Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in the infants/child's care. Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care. Is an infant, child, and family advocate. This is an advanced practice area and not appropriate for COTA or New graduate OT. Other duties as assigned. Benefits We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
