Job Overview
:
Join our Trace Analytics team and take the lead in developing and optimizing our proprietary business system! This high-impact role puts you at the core of innovation, where you'll design, develop, and enhance a system that drives efficiency and seamless integration across platforms. We're looking for a dynamic problem solver with expertise in FileMaker, database design and development, capable of building robust, scalable solutions that align with our business objectives. You'll collaborate with product owners, internal teams, and external developers, working alongside subject matter experts to ensure our system is secure, efficient, and future-ready.

Responsibilities
:


  • Develop, maintain, document, and troubleshoot FileMaker Pro database together with internal development team and external developers.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (mostly chemists) to develop customized FileMaker databases.

  • Ensure solutions meet stated objectives and create business value; periodically re-evaluate solutions for continued efficacy and relevance.

  • Manage projects, including coordinating with external developers and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

  • Ensure the integrity of the databases; maintain customer confidence and protect operations by securing confidential information when applicable.

  • Define solution integration with other systems (e.g., websites, CRM) as required, and work with other IT and Business Technology teams on realizing these integrations.

  • Train new staff on the use of the database; train existing staff on changes, updates, and/or upgrades.

  • Understand and comply with company policies, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and housekeeping standards.




Requirements
:


  • 5+ years as a software developer with proven expertise in the FileMaker platform; certification is a plus.

  • Experience with database design, development, and maintenance; hands-on with JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, PHP, SQL, or .NET is an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and project success.

  • Strong ability to plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines and communicate progress effectively.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and precision.

  • Knowledge of best practices for data security and integrity.

  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, experience with Agile processes and work management tools.

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skill

Preferences
:


  • Four-year degree from an accredited university preferred.

  • Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, Azure) and experience with database integration and business systems will enhance your candidacy.

  • Experience with medical device, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries

  • This position is Onsite (with possibility for Hybrid) in Austin, TX
