AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational since 2012, produces batteries for Nissan. The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant. About the Role

The Head of Global Rewards is responsible for the strategic design, development, and execution of total rewards programs including compensation, benefits, and recognition strategies that align with the organization's business objectives. This role ensures that the Company's rewards programs are competitive, equitable, and compliant with global regulations while driving employee engagement and performance.

What You Will Do
  • Compensation and Benefits Management: Develop and implement the global compensation and benefits strategy aligned with the company's overall HR strategy. Manage the design, development, and administration of the company's compensation and benefits policies and programs, including base salary, variable pay, and equity plans etc.
  • Market Analysis and Benchmarking: Oversee regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure that the company's compensation and benefits programs remain competitive in the industry and across geographies. Use market data to make informed decisions on salary structures, pay ranges, and benefit offerings.
  • Incentive Programs: Design and manage global incentive programs, such as annual bonus plans and sales incentive plans. Ensure that incentive programs are aligned with business objectives and drive performance and engagement.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant compensation and benefits laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Communication and Employee Education: Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively communicate compensation and benefits programs to employees. Provide education and guidance to employees on the company's rewards offerings and policies.

Qualifications
What You Need
  • A bachelor's degree or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • 15+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in managing compensation and benefits programs, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of global compensation and benefits practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with HR business partners, regional HR teams, employees, and external vendors.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Awareness and understanding of cultural differences and their impact on rewards programs. The ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) are a plus
  • Experience in a technology or manufacturing organization
