Join us for a 12-week internship with the IT Project Support Office as a PSO Analyst Intern:

Location: Driving distance to World Campus in Westbrook, Maine, being on-site at least on a weekly hybrid basis.

Join our dynamic IT Project Support Office team! Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality project management support across various initiatives, ensuring the success of projects by providing comprehensive support in areas such as project intake, program reporting, and new PMO processes. We work closely with other departments to streamline processes and enhance continuous improvement.

In this internship role you would...
As an IT Project Support Office Analyst Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project management efforts under the guidance of the PSO Manager. You will gain hands-on experience in managing project tools like Clarity, Rally, and JIRA, assisting with the project intake process, and contributing to program reporting. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into project management practices and the opportunity to work on key initiatives that align with our strategic goals.

Day-to-day asks are likely to include:

  • Provide administrative and technical support such as scheduling, preparing presentations, monitoring timelines and budgets, creating reports, attending meetings, and acting as liaisons to various departments and organizations
  • You will create review and/or maintain project plans, timelines, databases and other supporting tools to track and report progress of key deliverables
  • You will create reports; maintain and update data; and create and maintain process documentation as needed for each project. Update and maintain internal systems as needed
  • Communicate project progress via reports, routine updates, and business meetings. May present reports to management and staff
  • Support the development and maintenance of reports in JIRA, Clarity, Rally software
  • Automating routine tasks to increase efficiency
  • Creating dashboards to visualize data

Ideal skills for this role include:

  • Must Have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must Have: Proficiency in project management tools (Excel, Clarity, Rally, JIRA, MS Project, SmartSheet or similar)
  • Nice to Have: Technology aptitude, including development within the business landscape
  • Nice to Have: Experience utilizing API to create new data connections
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Educational Requirements for the role include:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in (Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Project Management, Business Administration)
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have completed at least one year of college.
  • A track record of student success and potential as demonstrated by GPA, research portfolio, prior work experiences and/or the recommendation of a professor preferred.
