Description: NSI requires a Journeyman Logistics Analyst to support the PMA-265 Technical Directive (TD) Management Team, responsible to the Product Support Manager for F/A-18 & EA-18G Type Model Series (TMS) aircraft. In accordance with the NAVAIR SOP 00-25-300 manual, manage the process for development, amending, and routing for review and approval, all documentation required for the release of change type and bulletin TDs. The Logistics Analyst will ensure proposed TDs are in compliance with the approved Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and NAVAIR Change Control Board (CCB) approvals, determine the requirements for Interim Flight Clearances and submit requests to Program Office IPT Engineers. Ensures TDs are reviewed for accuracy and logistics supportability, validated and verified through Type Command (TYCOM) coordination, and all TD documentation discrepancies corrected prior to publishing. Provide Integrated Logistic Support in reviewing ECPs, CCBs, waivers, and TDs for accuracy and impact. Review validation/verification results for acceptance or rejection, and communicate recommendations regarding problem areas, improvements, impacts, and/or planning factors to the respective Deputy Assistant Program Management for Logistics (DAPML). May also be required to research, analyze, and interpret TDs, drawings, and Installation Instructions provided by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Fleet Support Teams (FST), DAPMLs and engineers, and draft and process waivers for NAVAIR approval. Lastly, review, and track issued TDs for Incorporation/Non-Incorporation (INC/NINC) status, and monitor INC/NINC progress of approved TD, communicating findings to the appropriate Program Office Personnel.
Location: Lexington Park, MD Education: BS or BA Degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or Management. Allowable Substitution: Six (6) years' additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus four (4) years' additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Experience: At least three (3) to ten (10) years' FTE experience in operational logistics support or maintenance engineering. Three (3) years' experience in technical analysis of operational IPS requirements. Three (3) years of specific experience in operational logistics planning. Experience demonstrating ability to perform IPS studies, analysis, and evaluations in support of DOD weapons systems/equipment. Desired Skills: Highly proficient with the Microsoft Professional Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, and Project; Functional of knowledge of DECKPLATE, NATEC, and One Touch Support systems desired; detailed oriented; well-developed written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write and review technical documents, reports and drawings; ability to track and report status of assigned tasking, ability to assess established business processes, identify/document business process problems and recommend business process improvement initiatives; strong team building skills and ability to develop and coordinate with a highly agile and integrated network of team members required to successfully perform assigned tasking. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
