The RoleThe responsibilities of the Production Equipment Technician is to conduct maintenance, operation, and repair of facility and production equipment with minimal supervision required. This position performs routine maintenance as well as emergency repair of equipment and components. This position requires taking ownership of assignments directed at improving total operating efficiency, minimizing equipment downtime, and improving internal processes. This position is to ensure that documents such as validations and PMs are accurate, completed timely, and up to date for the assigned equipment and processes. This role is located in Athens, Ohio. Internal Partners: Production, Engineering, Facilities, and Quality External Partners: Contractors and Vendors The Work EnvironmentMust be able to walk, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and crawl as needed. Must have adequate vision correctable by regular corrective lenses to perform tasks related to color coded electrical wiring and/or troubleshooting. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the ground to 4 feet, required. Must be willing to travel occasionally as needed for training and/or development opportunities.
