THE JOB:

As a Crew Chief, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities on our aircraft, whether performed in-house or at off-site maintenance facilities. You will work closely with maintenance technicians, vendors, and internal teams to ensure our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards set by the FAA, manufacturers, and company policies. From scheduling maintenance to ensuring flights are ready for operation, you'll be at the heart of our aviation team, ensuring seamless and safe operations.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance on dedicated aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and MGM Resorts policies.

  • Ensure aircraft are properly serviced, cleaned, and positioned for flight operations.

  • Build work packages and oversee maintenance activities, both in-house and at off-site facilities.

  • Manage parts requisitions, inspect incoming parts, and maintain department equipment/tools.

  • Accompany aircraft on off-site maintenance visits and international flights when required.

  • Conduct inspections, ensure documentation compliance, and participate in safety audits.

  • Utilize Safety Management Systems (SMS) to assess risks and ensure safe operations.

  • Train and lead technicians, ensuring best practices are followed across maintenance activities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance (3+ years preferred).

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.

  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance procedures.

  • Ability to lead, make time-sensitive decisions, and manage logistics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Experience working with flight dispatching, maintenance, and logistics software.
