Responsibilities -

* Receiving: Unload trucks, verify shipments, document bills of lading for accuracy.

* Shipping: Load trucks for shipment, stage orders in yard for shipment. Create Bill of Lading.

* Quality Control: Inspect product prior to loading. Address and correct any quality issues.

* FIFO: Managing yard inventory by utilizing First in First Out.

* Forklift: Maintain and operate safely in accordance with OSHA guidelines.

Skills -

* Forklift: Must be able to operate a forklift in outdoor setting.

* Organizational:

  • Properly stage multiple orders for inbound trucks
  • Ability to prioritize orders and product movement
  • Manage product to and from treating pad.

* Math: Understand various lengths and sizes of wood. Must be able to figure load sizes for outbound trucks.

* Interpersonal: Communicate with truck drivers and other employees.

* Maintenance:

  • Recognize and correct quality issues.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to provide repairs to forklift, pumps, and motors.
