Primary Responsibilities:



  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to align program strategies with organizational goals and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Prioritize initiatives based on business needs, available resources, and strategic objectives
  • Program Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Collaborate across cross-functional teams to execute projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely completion
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks to program success. Proactively address challenges and adapt plans as needed to meet objectives
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain solid relationships with internal stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the program lifecycle
  • Performance Measurement: Develop and implement metrics to evaluate program success and track progress. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and optimize program outcomes
  • Financial Management: Oversee program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints. Monitor costs to identify opportunities for savings while maintaining program quality
  • Process and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and refine program management processes to improve efficiency, quality, and overall performance. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to drive operational excellence
  • Reporting and Communication: Deliver regular updates to senior leadership, highlighting program progress, challenges, and accomplishments. Ensure transparency and clear communication across all levels of the organization
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid infrastructures, and domain-driven design to guide program decisions. Support teams in making informed architectural and technical trade-offs
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to organizational policies and compliance with security standards, particularly when working with PHI/PII data

Required Qualifications:



  • 15+ years of experience in project or program management, with a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects and programs
  • 15+ years of experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • 7+ years of experience collaborating and working with team members in multiple time zones
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise-scale technology management, including hybrid infrastructures and database migrations



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in working in the clinical domain
  • Experience in driving UHC projects and understand UHC systems
  • Experience in leading large scale projects and it's finance
  • Expertise in federated decision-making, guiding teams through complex architectural and program trade-offs
  • Proven solid problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset for identifying risks and opportunities

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
