Job Responsibilities: Reporting to the Executive Director of Pharmacy Patient Care Services and Population Health, the Pediatric Division Director is actively involved in the origin, planning, implementation, and operation of departmental projects and services for pediatric patients. In collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team and interdisciplinary pediatric leaders, the Division Director will establish short- and long-range goals and objectives for pediatric pharmacy practice. The leader will oversee the medication use process functions of the Johns Hopkins Children's Center including assuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. They will maintain a lead role in the advancement of the profession of pharmacy and work closely with external customers and internal resources to develop, establish, provide, and monitor pharmacy services for direct patient care. The leader is responsible for fostering a workplace culture that optimizes employee engagement and retention. The Division Director will also work with pharmacy leaders across the system to achieve standards of care goals for all Johns Hopkins Medicine oncology patients. The Johns Hopkins Children's Center is comprised of 209 pediatric beds, inclusive of intensive care, medicine, surgery, psychiatry, oncology, rehabilitation, and a pediatric emergency department. The Pediatric Pharmacy Division also provides pharmacy services for the Kennedy Krieger Institute, a 47-bed long-term pediatric inpatient care facility. The Department of Pharmacy, consistent with the mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine, places a priority on teaching, research and patient care. At Johns Hopkins Hospital, the department is responsible for providing acute care pharmacy services for a diverse population of medical, surgical, oncology, and pediatric patients, with additional services provided within the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and affiliated clinics. Within the department, there are over 70 acute care and ambulatory care clinical pharmacy specialists as well as 34 general and specialized pharmacy residents. Qualifications:
Salary Range: Minimum $150,000 per year - Maximum $195,000 per year. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
