Position Purpose
Under minimal supervision, and in collaboration with relevant departments across Delicato, the Audit & Quality Systems Specialist helps to manage and facilitate all internal and third-party audit requests and government inquiries directed towards Delicato in the areas of quality and food safety systems management. The position will work closely with impacted teams to assess risk, recommend process improvements, and facilitate necessary responses to audits and investigations. The position will work cross-functionally to ensure that the Company complies with applicable laws, regulations, standards and contractual agreements and maintains all applicable certifications. The role will report to Delicato's Audit & Quality Systems Manager.
Functional Responsibility
Essential Duties
- Manages and collaborates with internal teams on a broad range of operations, compliance and legal-oriented audits and inquiries, including but not limited to, requests and audits related to FDA, ethical, social, workforce, ISO, Food Safety, Organic, supply chain, security, and quality programs and inquiries
- Manages the efforts to achieve and maintain registration of, and compliance with quality and food safety system standards and regulations, including but not limited to, Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), ISO, FSSC and CCOF (Organic)
- At the direction of the Audit & Quality Systems Manager, facilitates and supports all external audits and responses to third-party inquiries (excluding financial audits, which fall under the purview of the CFO); represents Delicato during audits and inquiries; coordinates and collaborates with audit response team, gathers and prepares applicable stakeholders and documents requested for audits, requests for information and investigations, monitors and tracks corrective action progress
- Manages Audit & Quality Systems team's technology solutions, including training and support of stakeholders, which may include Audit Intake System, Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Management of Change (MOCs) and internal team website
- Manages applicable data, records and calendars for various applications and databases, which may include audit schedules, ingredients, CARs, MOCs, policy and procedure management, and doc control libraries
- Facilitates training and management of the cross-functional internal audit response teams, reviews process documents to ensure completeness and corrective actions are submitted if necessary
- Keeps abreast of Delicato policies and procedures, relevant contractual requirements related to audits from third parties, and changes in local, state and federal regulations and certifying framework standards, as applicable
- Communicates recommendations and findings to business partners in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner
- Facilitates and assists in the drafting of audit documents and plans

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 3+ years experience performing similar functions in a manufacturing environment (bulk wine, liquid filling, warehousing operations and experience with HACCP a plus)
- Knowledge or experience with FSSC, ISO, CCOF or other quality related certification

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and to utilize sound judgment and discretion as needed for sensitive and proprietary matters and information
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and positively influence others across all functions and levels of Delicato
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation; effective writer
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and quickly assess what needs to get done
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other utility applications (e.g. ACL/IDEA, Publisher)
Certificates and Licenses
- Acceptable driving history with valid Driver's License
Working Conditions
- General office environment with occasional travel
- Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment
- Extended Hours (can occur during audits)

The pay range for this position is $64,998.24 to $101,552.88. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
