Essential Functions

• Ensure timely deliveries based on customer expectations
• Oversee and update order statuses for assigned customer accounts
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations and negotiations
• Manage and update all contracts and pricing, including inventory, quoting and sales

Competencies

• Strong customer service skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to motivate independently, meeting metrics with a commitment to the success of the business
• Knowledge of basic computer applications, including Microsoft Suite, ERP and inventory systems
• Highly experienced in both phone and face-to-face sales and negotiation
• Experience in pricing individual quotes, various projects and contracts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or commensurate sales experience in steel industry.
• 4+ years related work experience in a sales and customer service position, preferably in a steel service environment.
• Must possess the ability to develop new account relationships and expand business with existing customer base.
• Steel product knowledge, general business acumen, and demonstrated customer service aptitude required.
• Ability to travel 5%
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
• Ability to negotiate effectively, educate customers about products and services, as well as close a sale
