Acara Solutions has an Change Order Specialist role open in Fremont, CA with a semiconductor company.
Position Summary:
CO Writer is a Change Order (ECR/ECO) specialist responsible for engineering change control process as part of PLM. Beyond generating and processing Change Orders, duties will include data mining, POC for change related escalations, managing trackers, inter department reports and CIP activities in a high pace environment.
Responsibilities:
Generates and manages Change Orders (CO) thru closure
Performs documentation research for all parts/assemblies to be included in the Engineering Change Order to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to change control policies/procedures and design drafting standards.
Makes decisions, provides recommendations and/or escalates based on the needs of the situation
Supports NPI PMs (New Product Introduction Program Managers) on a daily basis for Engineering Change Order activities
Interfaces with Engineers and Designers on design solutions into BOMs that align with lean manufacturing requirements
Responsible to align key collaborators to drive to solutions in alignment with cutting strategies, E&O and effectivities
Responsible POC for Engineering Change Order activities
Monitor and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and timely change cut in
Process part numbers, bills of material and change orders which include preparation for change control board, review for clarity, errors and proper approval routing, accuracy and completeness
Track documents from initiation to final approval * Tracking and reporting on document review progress
Develop, track and report key metrics
Must have thorough understanding of cutin strategies, E&O, effectivity and disposition
Thorough understanding of change management and configuration management practices
Thorough understanding of system/product engineering lifecycle and challenges associated with it.
Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers.

MS suite expertise
iPLM/SAP experience
Team Center PLM experience
All candidates must have work hour flexibility. This is key, there is an extended team in India and there is often a need, for this role, to have early morning (~7-8 AM) or late evening (~9-10 PM) conference calls. ~Half hour calls, 3-4 times a week.
Support Special Projects and Department Initiatives
Support user acceptance testing and represent the Department in cross functional discussion with other organizations.
Act as Initial escalation point for gaps and unattended risks and issues until resolved
Onsite Flex - But first few months all 5 Days per week Onsite due to training, After Training it will be 4 days on site per week
Pay: $45.57/hr
Schedule: 8am - 5pm, after training can be a flex schedule.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
B.S in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of Experience or Applicable Semiconductor Industry Experience
Recent Graduate can be considered but must include detailed list of applicable school projects with resume in lieu of work experience.

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Experience Configuration Management / Config BOM Management
Person should be quick learner with motivation to keep learning
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Max Over all Experience 5 to 8 Years, (3 year change management experience is plus, also CAD skill is plus but not a requirement )
Manufacturing Experience (preferred but not required)
