Position Summary

The Nursing Program Clinical Compliance Coordinator manages and implements a variety of projects for the program and oversees all clinical placement regulatory compliance. This is a multi-faceted role in a complex environment that involves the ability to prioritize workflow, manage employees, be adaptable, work in a highly trafficked office setting, make independent decisions, and work as part of a team. This position requires excellent relationship management skills and a willingness and the ability to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to exercise a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential. This is an on-campus position that offers the flexibility of some remote work opportunities, subject to supervisor approval.

Responsibilities

Clinical Placement Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage required student and faculty clinical regulatory compliance including document tracking using myClinicalExchange, Complio, and other evolving compliance software as needed
  • Responsible for faculty and student orientation and training, affiliation agreements, data entry, and managing electronic data bases
  • Collaborate with Clinical Placement Manager to ensure that all clinical facility requirements are in compliance, including ID badges
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to prepare department and accreditation reports
  • Responsible for the accurate recording of required documents, resolving related issues, and meeting all deadlines
  • Assist the Clinical Placement as needed to conduct student orientations about longitudinal placement opportunities to incoming nursing cohorts
  • Assist the Clinical Placement Manager with applications, interview schedules, and onboarding paperwork for students pursuing longitudinal placements in collaboration with the clinical agency
  • May assist the Clinical Placement Manger with coordinating, requesting, and tracking clinical placements for nursing students

Office and Program Support

  • Plan, coordinate, assist, and oversee department activities including, but not limited to: advisory meetings, lunch and learns, student orientations, fall flu clinic, nursing graduation ceremonies, career fairs, and alumni events
  • Assist in office management and daily operations including ensuring adequate front desk coverage and supervision of student employees
  • Provide front desk coverage, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and managing inquiries
  • Assist with office functions, including administrative support, scheduling, and record-keeping
  • Crosstrain on key office functions to ensure seamless coverage during absences or high-demand periods
  • Take minutes during Department of Nursing meetings as needed
  • Make independent decisions and exercise sound professional judgment

Special Projects and Other Duties as assigned

  • Support project management tasks, including tracking deadlines, coordinating meetings, and maintaining project documentation
  • Collaborate with teams to support program initiatives, events, and special projects
  • Assist with planning and execution of key events such as Career Connections, Student Orientation, Open House, and other events as they arise
  • Serve on the Clinical and Resources Committee (CRC) and complete tasks as assigned by the CRC Chair
  • Adapt to new responsibilities and evolving priorities to meet department needs

  • Ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population

  • Demonstrated record of providing proactive customer service

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three or more years of related administrative and/or program coordination experience in a professional setting
  • Work experience with proven project management skills and the ability/flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects independently and work collaboratively and constructively with others as part of a team

  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience with clinical compliance
  • Experience scheduling meetings and calendaring for department related activities for professional staff
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, etc.

Schedule Information

  • Full-time
  • Exempt
  • Days of Week: Monday - Friday, usually 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Evenings and Weekend Work: For events only
  • Schedule: Hybrid schedule with both in person work as well as some remote opportunities subject to supervisor approval and program needs
  • Travel: Rarely; local travel on occasion visiting clinical sites/hospitals.

Salary for Announcement

Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

The anticipated hiring range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $60,000 - $75,000.

This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
