The Accounting Manager is a key player in the accounting department, responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions. This role requires advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data. The Accounting Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supports financial reporting, and contributes to the overall efficiency of the accounting operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture. * Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure all financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Annual Budget Creation and Maintenance
  • Prepare Annual Budget for Company including detailed breakdowns
  • Create and maintain Budget to Actual Results Monthly
  • Oversee and perform reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances in accounts.
  • Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
  • Implement best practices to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration and Supervision:
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, including training on accounting procedures and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management.
  • Provide support for business initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements.
  • Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 and/or the customer(s).
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Experience:
  • 5-10 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and account reconciliation.
  • 2-5 years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite accounting software and financial systems preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
