Consultant PRN - Nursing Partner Emeritus

Job Summary:

The Nursing Partner Emeritus is an experienced professional who contributes to nursing operations or clinical practice through mentorship and coaching as well as coordinating with an assigned nurse leader or on a project to support the delivery of patient care services. The Emeritus demonstrates advanced skills and expertise in their field as well as leadership and management, and embodies the Jefferson Nurse mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Serves as a resource regarding operations, patient standards, performance improvement, clinical practice, finance, and/or risk management issues.
  • Serves as a resource to guide the management of human, fiscal and other resources needed to facilitate nursing operations.
  • Participates in strategic planning activities of the department of nursing and develops goals and objectives that support the institution's strategic plan.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership in critical thinking, conflict management, and problem solving to achieve desired outcomes.
  • The Emeritus, with leadership experience, will mentor other leaders. Emeritus mentoring in nursing leadership and management can be described simply as leaders developing leaders.
