Position Overview: The Procurement Intern position at Broadway Bank offers an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in a professional environment, leveraging academic learning and prior experiences. This internship is a structured 10-week program designed to provide hands-on exposure to commercial credit analysis and establish a foundation for a career in working with all aspects of the supplier and contract management lifecycle. The Procurement Intern will actively contribute to departmental responsibilities, undertake special projects, and network with professionals across various banking disciplines. Essential Functions:
- Participate in all aspects of the Procurement department, including supplier due diligence, sourcing, contracting, and purchasing activities, among others.
- Gain hands-on experience with Broadway Bank's Procurement systems and processes, to include contracting, sourcing, supplier management and purchasing.
- Undertake an annual review project specifically assigned by the Procurement department and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Analyze supplier and contractual information and create custom analysis tailored to department requirements.
- Gain an understanding of the bank's third party contract portfolios and supplier relationships to learn how these deliver value for the bank at acceptable risk tolerances.
- Participate in Procurement team meetings, internal stakeholder meetings, and supplier meetings and negotiation sessions.
- Build connections with teams and leaders across the organization, fostering a deeper understanding of banking operations.
- Participate in mentoring sessions and receive feedback to enhance personal and professional growth.
Experience & Education:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in business, contracting, supply chain, or pre-law.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Submission of a professional letter of recommendation is preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new concepts in a dynamic work setting.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

- Availability to commit to the full 10-week internship program.
