Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Team Success Specialist (TSS) This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices (Austin; Chicago; Boston; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County; Portland; Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica; Seattle; Washington DC; or Wheeling, WV) and consideration given for 100% remote US locations.

The Opportunity: The Team Success Specialist (TSS) is a part of our national Team Support group and reports to our Head of Team Support. The TSS relieves the mental load for Orrick team members ("members") through a human-led, tech-enabled service to plan, research, and execute home-life projects. Our group provides members with a TSS that gets to know them, anticipates their home-life needs, conducts research on their behalf and gets things done for them; effectively clearing their minds and to-do lists.

Responsibilities

Each TSS serves as the point person for the team experience for their slate of assigned members. The TSS can serve 10-30 members as part of their member slate. The TSS builds relationships with their members to get to know them, their family, their preferences and ensures the work delivered is done as a member would have done it themselves.

The TSS leads proactive, forward-looking projects with their members to anticipate and relieve their mental load. These projects are managed through our technology, monthly phone conversations (huddles), and regular email and text conversations. The TSS is responsible for driving the agenda, identifying high-impact projects for members and proposing and aligning on a path of execution support.

While the TSS is the main point of contact for their members, they are part of a larger team that provides tailored and exceptional personal, home-life support. The team uses technology, tools, and resources paired with deep problem-solving abilities to meet members where they are and unburden their never-ending ticker tape of "should dos."

An example week may see a TSS:

  • Conducting research on member projects, including identifying top solutions/products to meet member needs, capturing research in the company database and packaging the research to provide clear, concise, and relevant information to members
  • Communicating with members (via portal, email, phone, text message, etc.) in response to new requests and/or to communicate expected due dates, potential changes or delays and/or to capture critical information necessary to move projects forward
  • Preparing for upcoming member huddle calls, including preparation of agenda and review of relevant background information to best prepare for and serve the member
  • 1:1 meeting with manager to discuss member relationships, troubleshoot issues, and coaching
  • Execution of member tasks including purchases, reservations, bookings, etc. with securely store credit card information
  • Liaising with members' assigned executive assistants as necessary to perform personal, home-life support.
  • Entering, managing, and updating member tasks within the database system
  • Corresponding with vendors (via email, phone, text message, etc.) in furtherance of member needs
  • Joining team meetings to learn about new tools and processes for client service
  • Sending weekly recaps to members to capture completed work and priorities for the coming week
  • Searching the market for creative solutions to commonly requested needs, updating this information in company databases
  • Updating member profiles in the database to reflect necessary information for exceptional service
  • Tracking client utilization and special requests within the weekly usage report
