Job Title: Cell Site Engineer

Location(s): Arlington, TX

Looking for a Contingent Worker for high level projects. This Engineer will be part of a highly visible team and accountable for ensuring high network availability and attainment of service levels. You will provide technical expertise on a critical role involving network transformation, network outages, service issues, network optimization, and maintenance. Physical requirements of the job may include but are not limited to climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated areas, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to approximately 65 pounds, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting/bending, and crawling, squatting, or kneeling in small spaces.

Must Have Skills:


  • Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, switching fundamentals, basic telephony and network architecture.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience, installing/troubleshooting telecommunication equipment on site such as such as Nokia 7705/7250/7210/7750 and Ciena 6500.
  • Samsung CDU30, FSU20, SAMSUNG RF4439D, RF4440D-13A, CBRS RT4401, RT 8808 and MT6413-77A background.
  • Electrical knowledge to troubleshoot RAYCAP OVP, CommScope or JMA Powershifts HPE e920t, e910t or ZT knowledge.
  • Experience with dark and lit fiber testing using equipment such as OTDR, fiberscope.
  • Knowledgeable on RF troubleshooting (PIM, interference, RSSI).
  • Experience troubleshooting antenna systems from transmitter to antenna using tools like a spectrum analyzer.
  • Performing triage, fault isolation, and remediation of network events.
  • Generating, driving, and updating problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems and continuously improving business practices.
  • Escalating issues to the appropriate internal/external engineer teams for resolution.
  • Developing your professional skills and technical knowledge through on-the-job experience and training.
  • Partnering with senior engineers to provide timely and accurate technical assistance to our internal and external customers.
  • Applying acquired technical knowledge to monitor and troubleshoot issues, ensuring the health of the network while working closely with external and internal organizations.


Job Duties:


  • Performing installation, optimization and troubleshooting, of base station equipment, RF transmitters, and Fiber network for new installs
  • Testing fiber network and integrate network hardware to bring new products on-Air.
  • Coordinate implementation schedules with Tower Crew and support integration of new technology (LTE, C-band, Routers, Servers)


Even better if you have one or more of the following:


  • A technical degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Knowledge of LTE networks and 4G to 5G technologies.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and/or telecommunications.
  • Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or similar).
  • Scripting with Python, No-JS, Perl, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience in computer support experience, including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, dynamic environment and adjust to priority changes
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
