Working Title Research Assistant - Computer Science
Details

We invite applications for an Assistant Research Scientist (PRK1) to do mathematical modeling of human well-being decisions. This work integrates mathematical models of Game Theory and Markov Decision Processes with insights from psychology and epidemiology to study the dynamics of human well-being. The focus of this research is to develop formal mathematical models that capture the dynamics of personal and societal well-being as they emerge from strategic decision-making, influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. The project will draw on empirical findings from established theoretical frameworks such as Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory and the PERMA model of positive psychology.

Candidates should hold (or be near completion of) a Ph.D. in a relevant field, with expertise in mathematical modeling, game theory, and the social sciences. Applicants with a strong background in psychological and epidemiological perspectives on well-being and expertise in network science are particularly encouraged to apply

This is a temporary position paying $15,000 for three months of effort at 50% (20 hours per week).
