GENERAL PURPOSE Monitor the heating, cooling, compression, and water systems within the plant while following safety and environment regulations while accomplishing assigned work. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform daily boiler operation and maintains related equipment * Monitor refrigeration, air compressors, Ph of the sewer system * Document and reads meters; gas, sewer, electric and water to ensure accurate reporting to agencies * Complete weekly and monthly inspections of the facility and of various equipment * Notify the maintenance department if and when repairs are needed, may assist in the repair work as required * Document all necessary records/paperwork to ensure legal and regulatory obligations are met * Perform annual cleaning and inspection of boilers * Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues * Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- Boiler Certification and/or License - required during course of employment
