UW Credit Union currently has 14 Branches in the Madison area that hire and staff Peak-Time Tellers. Those branches are Capitol Square, Eastside, Fitchburg, Fish Hatchery, Middleton Hills, Pier 37, Monroe St, Northport, State St, Sun Prairie, University Ave, Verona, Cottage Grove and Madison College

As a Bilingual Peak-Time Teller, you will play a vital role at your branch, for both your teammates and UW Credit Union's members. Your job is to make a positive impact on members lives by accurately and enthusiastically performing a variety of transactions to meet their needs. Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Teller

Each day will be a different adventure. Below is a snapshot of what your day could look like:

  • Welcome and assist members at a Madison branch, representing UW Credit Union.
  • Strive to meet performance goals in line with our Members for Life Sales & Service Philosophy.
  • Keep a good understanding of all UW Credit Union products and services.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient handling of member requests at the Teller line.
  • Follow UW Credit Union's Cash Management policies and procedures.
  • Investigate potential errors in Teller transactions and communicate with affected members.
  • Build relationships with members, understand their needs, offer recommendations, and make referrals when appropriate.
  • Look for ways to exceed our members' expectations.
  • Work with your branch team to address member and branch needs.
  • Support our bilingual (Spanish/English) members.


Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in written and verbal communication in Spanish and English.
  • 1 year of prior experience in customer service.
  • Confidence with cash handling and transactions.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with customers from diverse age groups and backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Collaborative team player who is also comfortable working independently in a self-directed environment.
  • Comfortable using computers and mobile devices.
  • Skilled in resolving issues and demonstrating empathy when needed.
