Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Python or R, Power Automate, T- SQL, version control with Git, managing a Fabric environment, and a knowledge of UGA data and processes.
Position Summary
This is a full-time position with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences ( CAES) Office of Information Technology ( OIT) web and information systems team. The position performs a wide variety of report-related tasks, with primary responsibilities including modeling data from diverse data sources and developing reporting dashboards. Secondary duties include building and managing a cloud data infrastructure, working to understand and improve internal data management processes, and developing relationships with data custodians across the college and campus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Experience building data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Skill in creating reports that focus on the right data and are easy to interpret.
  • Experience accessing a wide array of data sources such as MS SQL Server, Excel cubes, SmartSheet, data warehouses, and APIs.
  • Experience with ELT processes, data modeling, and structuring/storing data using tools like Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflows, or Tableau Prep. Familiarity with databases, schemas (star, snowflake, relational, etc), indexing, and access policies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize, estimate work, and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail.
